Our religious and faith communities stand in solidarity with the trans and gender diverse community. We celebrate trans and gender diverse people for all the ways they embody the imago dei. We are grateful for God's diverse expressions of love and support the right for gender identity to be recognised, respected, and celebrated by all. We together commit to building a world where every trans person feels safe and has the opportunity to grow and thrive in school, at home, at work, and in the community.

Activities
In the Light of Day: A Transgender Day of Visibility Vigil
On Friday, March 31, join us for the day, for several hours, or for an hour. We will conclude our vigil by joining in worship with the Transmission Ministry Collective (TMC).
-At 8 a.m. Eastern: TDOV opening celebration
-On the hour every hour: a prayer or blessing from the host
-During the hour: connection, fellowship, conversation, and resources for taking action in our faith communities and places of residence
-At noon Eastern: presentation about gender diversity in scripture and Christian history with special guest Austen Hartke, author of Transforming: The Bible and Lives of the Lives of Transgender Christians and founder of Transmission Ministry Collective (TMC)
-At 8 p.m. Eastern: worship with Transmission Ministry Collective

FreeState Justice, Baltimore Center Stage, and tons of other great local orgs invite you to Trans Day of Care!
This year's Trans Day of Visibility comes at a time when queer and trans rights, healthcare, and art are being attacked throughout the country, with more and more bills aiming to limit access to these life-saving resources. Baltimore Center Stage is fighting against this injustice by offering our local LGBTQIA+ community a Trans Day of Care, an afternoon of activities centering queer & trans people of all ages! Taking place Sunday, April 2nd, from 4-7 PM at Baltimore Center Stage’s Deering Lobby, this day will include fun and holistic well-being practices such as direct healthcare services. These include free food, trans artisan vendors, a workshop on affirming trans youth in schools led by Baltimore advocate Jabari Lyles, and a dance party DJ'ed by Kotic Couture!
We encourage community members to come, relax, and have fun! It will be a welcoming space that fights discrimination while celebrating our local victories in making Maryland a more inclusive place for all. We’re excited to see you there!
